VINTAGE CRAFTSMAN TOOL BOX 6512 "FULLY RESTORED" with TRAY 20 x 9.5 x 8.5 "LQQK"

Description

This is a Vintage Craftsman tool box model # 6512. It is 20" x 9.5" x 8.5" and is from the 1960s. When I found this at a yard sale
it didn't have a storage tray and was very rusted and dented. I removed all the major dents, sanded it inside and outside and repainted
it with RUSTO-LEUM PRIMER & HAMMERED FINISHED paint. If you look close you may still see some minor dings. The latches and
handle mounts were removed, cleaned and repainted with RUSTO-LEUM CHROME FINISH then clear coated. The name plate was removed
cleaned touched up and clear coated also. I could not find the proper storage tray for this box so I made one that matches the correct design
for a 6512 box. The tray is made of sheet G10 fiberglass, aluminum angle iron, and solid core 3/8 multi layer finished plywood. The tray is also
painted with RUSTO-LEUM paint. The extras I have added are rubber non-skid feet to the bottom of the box to stop it from being scratched.
The bottom of the tray has felt
gilds to stop it from scratching the tray shelfs. I also added rubber shelf liner to the inside bottom of the box and
the inside of the tray to stop scratching. I am a reasonable guy make a reasonable offer. This box is now ready for another 60 years of work.
