Trenton Falls, NY area fossil talon shaped trilobite? Scorpion tail? Claw?

Description

It's from a creek near Trenton Falls, NY, Herkimer County.  It's not the West Canada Creek, but it's a tributary.  I'm not sure what I found here.  It looks like a fossil talon.  It's about 3 or 4 inches long (the "talon" part).  A kind person who knows about these things told me he thought it might be a part of a large trilobite.  Another person said scorpion tail.  So, I'm not sure, but I can only post the photo and let you decided.  The rock is about 8" long.  Maybe it's a raptor, like from Jurassic Park!
