Description

Despite an extensive search, I have only been able to find one other piece of pottery, like this like this fantastic pitcher.  Because the tubular spout that is looks like a cigar hanging out the mouth of it's jockey shaped head is only 4mm, I believe that it was made specifically it was made for the absinthe ritual, but you could just as easily use it as a neat way to pour other things for your guests or as a really interesting display piece. It measures about 9 1/2" tall, 5 1/2" across it's widest point, and 6 1/2" from it's handle, which is in the form of a horse tail, to the tip of his cigar spout. This piece has what appears to be 3 faint letters on it's base, but it looks more like an identifying mark that a previous owner may have hand written, rather than a maker's mark. It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or any other damage or signs of use, whatsoever.
What to expect from me
Thank you for considering the items that I have listed. If you don't see something that you're looking for, check back often because I add new things almost daily and you'll find anything from needlework kits, to tools, to purses, to adult incontinence products, to holiday items, etc..., and from all eras.
I list most of my items in the Fixed Price format so you have the opportunity to make a fair offer for the item that you're interested in. I do give a 15% discount on the purchase of 2 or more items that are shipping to the same address, so please understand that I'll take that into consideration when deciding whether to accept offers on multiple listings.
I only accept PayPal for payments and require that you pay for your purchase in full within 3 days of ordering it. Please send me a message if something causes you to not be able to do so. Chances are that I will be happy to give you a bit more time. I will accept returns within 30 days of your purchase and in accordance with eBay's return guidelines on a case by case basis. If you're entitled to a refund, it will be issued within 2 business days of my receipt of the item in the same condition that I sent it to you in. If the item is damaged during shipping, I probably won't expect it back, but expect that you will cooperate with me as I file a claim with the USPS and need information from your end to do so. I do not refund shipping charges or accept international returns.
I hand wash everything that I can without risking damage to the item by doing so, but if it needs more intense cleaning than soap and water will address, that will be up to you. I also don't polish any metal, as many buyers prefer what ever patina may be on it. All items are stored and packed for shipping in my clean smoke free, pet friendly home. All of that said, I do deal with mostly preowned, vintage and older items. While I take pride in providing the most detailed descriptions of both the items and any flaws they contain, it's not impossible that I might miss something, although rare. Because of that, please look at carefully and enlarge all of the pictures I post as they are important parts of my descriptions. Some items might come with odors related to their age, use, etc. If the smell is too strong after I clean it, I discard the item and I make sure to mention it in my listing if they do pass my "sniff test", so please be certain that you can tolerate any smells that I mention before bidding.
I'm happy to ship internationally though eBay's Global Shipping Program, as long as everything about the item and transaction meets their criteria. You will be responsible for any extra charges related to your purchase beyond what you paid for shipping at the conclusion of our transaction. I ship most domestically destined items through USPS Priority Mail whenever the size, weight, and distance allows for it at the same or slightly more than what you paid for Parcel Select Ground.  This way you can receive your purchase as fast as possible. I will research the least expensive way to get your item to you if weight and/or distance calls for it. In those cases FedEx is usually slightly less expensive than USPS, so that is the carrier that I'll choose. If you live in the Pittsburgh area and want to avoid shipping charges, shoot me a message and I'll be happy to meet you someplace so you can pick it up.
I'm extremely careful to pack everything in the very best way possible to ensure the safe arrival of your purchase. Sometimes that means that I will disassemble an item if it comes without having to force the parts apart and will obviously be easy for you to reassemble when you receive it.  While I do recycle packing material whenever possible, I don't get nearly enough of used bubble-wrap and other reusable materials to keep up with what I ship out.  Because of that, I charge a .00 handling fee to help cover the cost of some of my packing materials. I assure you that you will see that I don't scrimp on materials when you open your package. I am happy to combine shipping when you purchase 2 or more items, so please send me a message to let me know about it before you pay for your items. That way I can calculate the new shipping charge so you can make an accurate payment without having to add the extra steps of me issuing a refund for the difference.
