Hand Painted Antique Chinese Gansu Sideboard

Description

Beautiful hand painted flowers and mountain adorn this Gansu coffer. It was found in Gansu province, located in northwest of China with rich history and culture and restored by the skilled craftsman. The painting on the door panels of this sideboard demonstrates the artisan’s commanding skill of shui-mo (水墨, "water and ink") also loosely termed watercolour or brush painting. With red square frames, the doors are transformed into the beautiful Chinese painting. The clear lacquer is applied to protect painting and wood. There are 2 compartments, 2 shelves in each with one removable shelf.  Ample of storage space as an entertainment center.
