This listing is for an Antique Pilliod Wooden Machinist Tool Box made from Tiger Oak Wood and Brass Hardware.
The box is in overall good shape. There are a few imperfections to point out.
One of the drawer facings is gone. This could either be recreated or left as is (the spacing makes for a nice little display moment). The 3 drawer sides are present and will be mailed with the box.
The handle is no longer present, the hardware loops are still attached to the box but there is no handle.
There is also no key. I am sure this could also be replaced/matched.
The wood and structural is in good overall shape. There are general signs of age/wear. You may want to restore or use as is, a preference.
There is a metal plate with measurements and information on behalf of Geo J Mayer - this chest was most likely used to produce engraved name plates and such at one time.
It is 16.5” in width - 11” tall - 8” in depth.
