    Description

Up for sale is a very nice antique 19th Century Chinese Elmwood Cabinet with mortise & tenon construction.  This cabinet was purchased by me in the 1980's on the East Coast from an Asian Art dealer.  It is 73 1/2" H, 22" D, 37" W.  The mortise and tenon construction was a favored style during this time period.  The Elmwood used in it's construction is very rich in color.  In photo #3 you can see the mortise construction which avoided use of any nails or screws.
The doors do not have any hinges to wear out.  I have installed two removable shelves without the use of nails or screws -- they simply sit on small wooden boards in each corner and can be easily removed. We used this cabinet as a dresser.  Please note the nice metal work on the doors and two drawers.
This should be seen before purchase.  I live in Uptown Chicago and this item is for local pick-up only.   If you have any questions please email me.  Priced reduced.   Thank you.
