Antique 1912, LIMOGES France WG & Co DRESSER TRAY - Signed & Dated - Em, 1912. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Large oval dish. Measures about 10 1/2 inches long by 7 inches wide with curved edges, slight depth of about 3/4 inch. This lovely old dish is hand painted with pink and white wild roses against a background of cream and pale mint-green and leaves. There’s a touch of lightest sky blue in the center and a smudge of blush purple on the left. It has raised scrollwork under the glass at each end, and a curled loop handle in middle painted gold. The rim is also gold and there is some expected gold loss to both, but not detrimental. The undersides are palest green. It’s embossed with the Limoges France mark W.G. & Co. it’s hand-signed with the name Em-1912-in red under the glaze. In beautiful antique condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing..except for the gold loss already noted. Beautiful dish, all the more collectible because of date.
