    This antique Chinese brown lacquer  has a flush panel top that is flush with the frame on all sides.  It has 2 flush panel doors and 2 flat front drawers.
    There is a nice tall relief carved skirt that runs between the front legs and goes almost to the floor. This piece appears to retain it's original hardware.
    This antique Asian chest has simple lines, but it is not typical of most cabinets of this style. The case is constructed from very thick lumber, as can be seen in the different views of the legs / corners and the horizontal rails in the photos. You can also see the heavy thickness of the drawer fronts. This piece is quite heavy and extremely sturdy.
    The brown lacquer finish on the front and the top shows a lot of wear, and a good wax coat would add depth to the patina. We can also assist in having the piece professionally refinished if you would prefer something different.
